Pewter and Lace Kennels guarantees that your puppy is in good health at the time of sale and is guaranteed from communicable disease for 7 days from the date of sale. You are responsible for having the puppy checked by your vet within that time period. We will not be responsible for parvo, distemper, giardia or kennel cough contracted after the puppy leaves us, as these are all too common place and can still be contracted despite vaccinations against such. Please keep in mind that until your pup has received all its vaccinations it is highly susceptible to any viral disease. It is your responsibility to see your veterinarian to ensure that you complete your pups vaccination schedule, and failure to do so will warrant this guarantee null, and void, please keep proof of this record should you need it down the line.

We also guarantee your puppy to be free of genetic defects that would be life threatening, or not medically manageable until the puppy reaches one (1) year of age. If such circumstances occur, we must be notified immediately and have proof of defect or disease in writing from a veterinary stating that the problem is genetic with no possibility of any other cause such as accidents, insect borne diseases, parasites, viruses, ect. Our vet will then examine the documents, the registration papers should they apply, would need to be returned to us at buyer’s expense in order to receive a replacement puppy. You may be asked to return the pup as well, at your expense, to be examined by our vet. No cash refund will be made under any circumstances, a replacement puppy of equal value will be offered when one is available. We are not responsible for any vet bills that incur, or other expenses.

We do not guarantee against hypoglycemia and recommend anyone purchasing a toy or teacup size pup to educate themselves on this subject. We do not let a puppy leave us until we feel it is ready for the transition and eating well. The puppy will be checked by our vet before leaving and we will include a list of all vaccinations, type of dewormer and anything else that has been done to the puppy. Please contact your vet as to what vaccination schedule he/she wants the puppy on. It is your responsibility to continue the puppy’s lifetime vaccinations, and deworming on a regular basis. It is your responsibility to protect the puppy from exposure to disease until he is fully vaccinated and immune. We also recommend yearly check ups with your vet as well as a good quality pet food. Your pup has been brought up on eukanuba and we recommend you continue this food until your pup is at least one year of age.

All pups must be picked up either upon the designated delivery date set up by the seller or by the 8 week birthday of the pup. Neglect to do so if not agreed to in writing by the seller, may result in this contract becoming null and void if the seller so chooses.  Any pup left after the 8 week birthday on the property, unless asked to be left by the seller, may be subject to a board charge as the seller sees fit.

We do not guarantee size, color, or breeding soundness of any pup as it is impossible to predict these in any pup of such a young age, although we try to estimate to the best of our ability we cannot provide such a guarantee. Buyer understands that all deposits are non refundable for any and all reasons. This guarantee and contract, and all its content  applies to the original puppy only, and is nontransferable to a second party or pup. Only pups born from CKC registered parents are eligible for registration. Buyer agrees that he/she understands this contract fully and enters into it upon signing and or making deposit upon said pup. This contract must be signed and returned to Pewter and Lace Kennels before the puppy leaves the property. Pewter and Lace Kennels retains the right to cancel this contract should at anytime before completion we feel that the buyers home be unsuitable for said pup.
